Ethanol yields and cell wall properties in divergently bred switchgrass genotypes

► In this study we examine two populations of genetically related switchgrass plants. ► Ethanol yields from biomass were significantly improved in one population. ► Changes in cell wall architecture appear to correlate to improved ethanol yields.
