Kinetic modelling of steam gasification of various woody biomass chars: Influence of inorganic elements

► Steam gasification experiments were performed in thermobalance on chars of various woods. ► Large differences of average reaction rate were observed. ► The kinetics was described through a model considering the ratio potassium/silicium of the sample. ► The catalytic effect of potassium and inhibitor effect of silicium were highlighted.
