Thermo-kinetics of lipase-catalyzed synthesis of 6-O-glucosyldecanoate

► Pure/blended solvents for lipase catalyzed sugar ester synthesis were studied. ► Blended solvents gave higher yield and rates due to better reactants solvation. ► Michaelis Menten kinetics was followed and esterification reaction was endothermic. ► Solvent polarity did not affect enzyme affinity towards limiting reactant. ► Gibbs energy change more favorable to product in blended solvent.
