Significance of oxygen supply in production of a novel antibiotic by Pseudomonas sp. SJT25

► Production of a novel powerful antibiotic, HHCA, was significantly improved. ► Oxygen supply was found to be a key factor in fermentation of a newly isolated Pseudomonas sp. SJT25. ► An oxygen supply strategy was proposed and successfully applied in a bubble column bioreactor. ► The work is helpful to large scale production of the promising new antibiotic and to its future application in agriculture.
