Heterotrophic nitrification and aerobic denitrification by the bacterium Pseudomonas stutzeri YZN-001

► We isolated and identified a nitrifying Pseudmononas stutzeri YZU-001. ► It can utilise not only nitrate and nitrite, but also ammonium. ► The strain has heterotrophic nitrification and aerobic denitrification abilities. ► It has notable ability to remove ammonium at low temperatures.
