Utilization of residues from agro-forest industries in the production of high value bacterial cellulose

► Agro-forestry residues were successfully used as carbon sources for the production of BC. ► The most relevant results were attained with wine and pulp industries residues; 0.6 and 0.3 g/L of BC. ► BC production from theses residues is enormously improved by addition of nitrogen and phosphate.
