Adsorption of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) on Rhizopus oryzae cell walls: Application of cosolvent models for validating the cell wall-water partition coefficient

► Cell wall-water partition coefficient (Kw) of PAHs on cell wall was validated with cosolvent model. ► The performance of log-linear and Bayesian models was the best among all five tested models. ► The Kw of PAHs on Rhizopus oryzae cell walls was greater than on plant cell walls. ► We conclude that R. oryzae cell walls play an important role in PAHs bioremediation.
