Null results in TMS: From absence of evidence to evidence of absence

▶ Null results are inherently crucial to the human brain mapping enterprise. ▶ TMS null results are only rarely interpreted as meaningful and published. ▶ We present, but then counter, three main arguments against TMS null result interpretation. ▶ TMS null results constitute the only way to show functional irrelevance of a region. ▶ TMS null results should be made available to the community.
