Phase diagram of mechanically stretched DNA: The salt effect

► The role of the cations present in the solution on the mechanical unzipping of dsDNA has been discussed. ► The two state model has been modified to incorporate the amount of cations present in the solution. ► Our findings are in close agreement with the experimental phase diagram.
