Reuse of sugarcane bagasse ash (SCBA) to produce ceramic materials

► The formation of mullite in kaolinite clay is inhibited by the addition of sugarcane bagasse ash. ► SCBA is non plastic material decreasing the linear shrinkage of ceramics during firing (replace sand). ► The amount of ash to be added is defined by the raw material quality and ash composition.
