Identification of Amino Acid Substitutions in Avian Influenza Virus (H5N1) Matrix Protein 1 by Using Nanoelectrospray MS and MS/MS

Six amino acid substitutions in a major structural protein of avian influenza virus were identified by nanoelectrospray Q-TOFMS and MS/MS. Oxidation at methionines and deamidation at asparagines were determined.
