Identification of new biomarkers for Down's syndrome in maternal plasma

► We have investigated maternal plasma for new protein markers of down syndrome using proteomics. ► C1 plasma inhibitor is increased in the first trimester. ► Serum Amyloid P is increased in the second trimester. ► Transthyretin shows altered post translational modifications in second trimester DS plasma.
