N-glycome profiling of Bothrops jararaca newborn and adult venoms

► The venom proteome of Bothrops jararaca undergoes a significant ontogenetic shift. ► The proteome and glycosylation levels of newborn and adult venoms are different. ► We analyzed the N-glycome of newborn and adult venom proteins by several pathways of MS. ► The N-glycan composition of newborn and adult venoms did not vary significantly. ► We hypothesized that the occupancy of glycosylation sites differs in newborn and adult venom proteins.
