On-bead tryptic proteolysis: An attractive procedure for LC-MS/MS analysis of the Drosophila caspase 8 protein complex during immune response against bacteria

► The release of biotin-labeled proteins and molecular partners from streptavidin beads is a challenge. ► We described an on-bead digestion procedure as an alternative of elution protocols. ► This procedure allowed the identification of more proteins than others elution protocols. ► The identification of released proteins was carried out by mass spectrometry and validated by a functional assay.
