Infrared spectra and factor group analysis of vesuvianites in OH region

Infrared spectra of a series of vesuvianites, complex ortho-disilicates, have been recoded in OH region. Factor group analysis has been performed for space group P4/n and P4/nnc and assignments for OH stretching vibrations in OH and O(10) sites have been made. The assignments of the absorption band in low vesuvianites spectra to MgAlOH, AlAlOH, AlTiOH and AlFe3+OH have been made.
