Response of drought and fertilization in Erica andevalensis seed banks: Significance for conservation management

► Erica andevalensis is well adapted to stress on mine soils in Riotinto area. ► Size, composition and drought and fertilization effect of the seed bank was analyzed. ► Only Erica andevalensis and Poaceae species were present in the seed banks. ► Seed bank is a very important factor for successful species establishment. ► Seed density was high in seed bank soils irrigated with water and nutrient solution.
