Pd-substituted (La,Sr)CrO3−δ-Ce0.9Gd0.1O2−δ solid oxide fuel cell anodes exhibiting regenerative behavior

▶ SOFC anodes containing Pd-substituted (La,Sr)CrO3−δ yielded low polarization. ▶ The good performance was explained by Pd nano-particles that form on the chromite. ▶ The initial performance can be regenerated repeatedly by redox cycling the anodes. ▶ Pd nano-particles were removed by oxidation, and re-nucleated upon reduction.
