Synthesis and luminescent properties of gadolinium aluminates phosphors

► This study described the preparation of the gadolinium aluminates by non-hydrolytic sol-gel. ► We observed the influence of heating treatment on sample structure. ► The goal of the work is the preparation of a luminescent material at low temperature. ► The quantum efficiency of Eu3+ emission indicate the phosphors applications this materials.
