Synthesis and solvatochromism studies of new mixed-chelate dinuclear copper(II) complexes with different counter ions

► Four mixed-chelate complexes type [Cu2(L)2(TAE)]X2, X = ClO4 or BPh4 were prepared. ► The complexes are soluble in variety of organic solvents and exhibit solvatochromism. ► Their solvatochromism were tested using SMLR computational method. ► The DN parameter of solvent has the dominate contribution on solvatochromism.
