Acid/amide bonding for anthranilic acid derivatives: crystal structures of [W(X)Cl3(HO2CC6H4NH-2)] (XÂ =Â O, NPh)

Anthranilic acid, {1,2-(NH2)(CO2H)C6H4}, reacts with [WOCl4] or [W(NPh)Cl4(Et2O)] to afford the complexes [W(X)Cl3(HO2CC6H4NH-2)], where X = O (1) or NPh (2), respectively. Single crystal X-ray diffraction studies for 1 and 2 reveal chelating acid/amide bonding for the ligand derived from anthranilic acid.
