Crystal structure of the mononuclear complex [Mn(mesalim)2Cl] and electrochemical studies of manganese complexes of the ligand Hmesalim

The crystal structure of the manganese complex [Mn(mesalim)2Cl] (1) of the ligand Hmesalim is reported. The complex 1 and two related manganese complexes have been studied electrochemically; coulometric analyses in combination with electrochemical analyses have been used to understand the electron transfer mechanisms occurruing at the electrodes.
