Group 8 and 10 metal acetylide naphthalimide dyads

Group 8 and 10 metal half-sandwich σ-acetylide complexes of N-Me-naphthalimide are synthesised and their crystallographic and spectroelectrochemical properties reported. The neutral dyads show an intense band in the visible spectrum due to a MLCT transition which resolves into two λmax in non-polar solvents.
