Synthesis and evaluation of quinazoline amino acid derivatives as mono amine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors

Compounds 7, 10, and 15 showed MAO-A inhibition activity comparable to that of the standard clorgyline. In addition, compound 15 showed the highest selectivity within the test compounds as MAO-A inhibitors. The docking of compound 15 into the MAO-A active site showed hydrogen bond interaction with GLU 216, SER 209, and TYR 444.108
