Oxazolopyridines and thiazolopyridines as monoamine oxidase B inhibitors for the treatment of Parkinson's disease

Oxazolopyridines and thiazolopyridines as MAO-B inhibitors were designed, synthesized and biologically evaluated and one of the thiazolopyridines showed the most potent inhibitory activity with an IC50 value of 26.5 nM.
