(1 → 3)-β-d-Glucan reduces the damages caused by reactive oxygen species induced in human platelets by lipopolysaccharides

Our conclusion is that protective mechanism of (1 → 3)-β-d-glucan against LPS action on blood platelets is due to as well: its antioxidant properties, as to its interaction with LPS-binding region of TLR4-MD-2 complex.
