Biocomposite fiber of calcium alginate/multi-walled carbon nanotubes with enhanced adsorption properties for ionic dyes

► A bioadsorbent of calcium alginate/multi-walled carbon nanotubes (CA/MWCNTs) composite fiber was prepared. ► Increase the adsorption capacity and adsorption rate of MO and MB onto bioadsorbent. ► Act as a multi-adsorption bioadsorbent to heavy metals and dyes.
