Structural elucidation and bioactivity of a novel exopolysaccharide from endophytic Fusarium solani SD5

► Novel exopolysaccharide, rhamnogalactan with Mw ∼ 1.87 × 105 Da. ► Structure elucidates by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and GLC-MS. ► TEM showed that EPS have a diameter of 1 nm and melting temp 172-178 °C. ► EPS exhibits anti inflammatory activity; 1000 μg/ml of EPS protects 55% of erythrocytes. ► 100 μg/ml of EPS protects about 56% of mast cells from degranulation by Compound 48/80.
