Modified natural halloysite/potato starch composite films

► The aggregated halloysite nanotubes were broken up after treatment. ► The treated halloysite were well dispersed in starch paste. ► Halloysite/potato starch films were prepared by casting method. ► The composite films show high mechanical properties.
