An exopolysaccharide from Trichoderma pseudokoningii and its apoptotic activity on human leukemia K562 cells

► An exopolysaccharide (EPS) was isolated from culture medium of Trichoderma species. ► EPS has anticancer activity in a time- and concentration- dependent manner. ► EPS induced human leukemia K562 cell apoptosis by the mitochondrial pathways. ► EPS has a potential application as an adjuvant therapy agent against human leukemia.
