Rheological and mechanical properties of hydrophilic dispersions using a new hydrophobically modified polymer and Igepal® CO520

► We work with hydrophilic dispersions using hydroxypropylcellulose-methyl methacrylate.> We prepare systems with this hydrophobically modified polymer and a surfactant. ► We study rheological properties with different surfactant's concentration. ► Systems have similar viscosity curves and a shear-thinning behavior. ► These gels are adequate to be base excipients for topical drug administration.
