Amine activators influence on grafting reaction between methacrylic acid and starch

► PMAA-graft-starch copolymers were successfully synthesized by free radical polymerization. ► Different amines were used as activators. ► It is showed for the first time the influence of amine on getting of PMAA-graft-starch. ► Obtained values for percentage of grafting were among the largest ever received.
