Preparation of cellulose films from solution of bacterial cellulose in NMMO

► The bacterial cellulose could dissolve completely in NMMO and the RBC films were prepared. ► There was no difference between BC and RBC films in molecular structure, but the crystallization transformed from I to II. ► The dissolving mechanism of BC in NMMO was discussed.
