⺠Lyophilised chitosan based mucosal protein delivery system. ⺠Annealing has effect on optimum characteristics such as porosity and hydration. ⺠Thiolation chitosan improves mucoadhesive performance and not drug release. ⺠Potential of lyophilised thiolated chitosan for buccal mucosa delivery of proteins.
