Preparation, characterization and in vitro anti-metastasis activity of glucan derivatives

► Four derivatives was prepared from glucan or carboxymethyl glucan. ► The structure was confirmed by FTIR and 13C NMR. ► CADD was used to predict activities of polysaccharides for the first time. ► PSC inhibited the heparanase activity and the migration induced by bFGF. ► PSC decreased migration through ERK1/2 and JNK signal transduction pathway.
