Mechanical properties and biodegradation of thermoplastic starches obtained from grafted starches with acrylics

- Grafted starches were used to obtain thermoplastic starch (TPS).
- The type of polymer or copolymer grafted modified the mechanical properties of TPS.
- Using soft/rigid polymer-g-starch, TPS with tailor-made properties can be obtained.
- The grafted polymer limits the fungus growth.
