Structure of arabinogalactan from Larix laricina and its reactivity with antibodies directed against type-II-arabinogalactans

► The structure of the arabinogalactan from Larix laricina has been elucidated. ► The 1,3,6-branched galactose core molecule is terminated by Galp, Arap, Araf or GlcAp. ► The molecular mass of the larch arabinogalactan has been determined to be 38,000 Da. ► An ELISA method for quantification of larch arabinogalactan has been proposed.
