Electrospun nano-fibre mats with antibacterial properties from quaternised chitosan and poly(vinyl alcohol)

Quaternised chitosan-containing nano-fibres have been successfully prepared by electrospinning of mixed solutions of quaternised chitosan and poly(vinyl alcohol). Water-swellable photo-cross-linked nano-fibres have a good bactericidal activity against E. coli and S. aureus.
