Synthesis, curing kinetics and thermal properties of bisphenol-AP-based benzoxazine

► A novel bisphenol-AP-aniline-based benzoxazine monomer (B-AP-a) is synthesized. ► The poly(B-AP-a) exhibits high Tg and superior thermal stability. ► Prout-Tompkins model is suitable for isothermal curing kinetics of benzoxazine. ► The diffusion-factor is introduced to autocatalytic equation at the later stage. ► The modified autocatalytic model shows good agreement with experimental values.
