Synthesis and characterization of organo-soluble and photosensitive benzocyclobutene-terminated imides

► A series of benzocyclobutene (BCB)-terminated imide monomers were synthesized. ► Negative patterns of the BCB films were obtained after the photolithography. ► The effect of chemical structure on properties of the BCB resins was discussed.
