Direct encapsulation of proteins into calcium silicate microparticles by water/oil/water interfacial reaction method and their responsive release behaviors

► Proteins were successfully encapsulated into calcium silicate microparticles by interfacial reaction method. ► Proteins thus encapsulated did not discharge without the dissolution of the microparticle. ► Release rate of proteins were proportional to the concentration of sodium and potassium chloride in aqueous solution.
