A comparative study of corrosion performance of sealed anodized layers of conventionally colored and interference-colored aluminium

► Electrocoloring of modified Al anodized layer creates light-interference colors. ► Modification makes the mixed sealing of subsequent colored layer less effective. ► Steam can seal the interference-colored anodized layer of Al more effectively. ► Porous layer of sealed anodized layers also determines the corrosion performance. ► By increasing the immersion time, sealed layer and pigments are firstly dissolved.
