Permeability of JSC-1A: A lunar soil simulant

► We have measured the permeability of a lunar soil simulant, JSC-1A, over the porosity range 0.32-0.47. ► The permeability measurements are similar to estimates made for lunar soil. ► JSC-1A is a good simulant for testing gas behavior in lunar soil. ► Permeability results show support for the Carman-Kozeny relationship.
