The Meteoroid Input Function and predictions of mid-latitude meteor observations by the MU radar

► We employ the MIF model to predict meteor observations by the MU radar. ► The MIF is applicable to mid geographic latitude and VHF radar frequency. ► MIF input distributions of meteoroid speeds and sources are validated. ► We compare the RCS sensitivity thresholds of four HPLA radar systems.
