The maximal runaway temperature of Earth-like planets

► Simpson's paradox on the divergence of a planetary temperature is resolved. ► Saturation is reached through leakage in the visible and stellar radiation blockage. ► The saturation temperature of a runaway Earth like planet cannot exceed 1200-1300 K. ► An approximate analytic formula for the temperature of a runaway planet is derived.
