Jupiter's moment of inertia: A possible determination by Juno

► MoI of a giant planet reveals important information on the planet's internal density structure. ► Juno may determine Jupiter's MoI from its pole precession and the Lense-Thirring acceleration. ► There is NO one-to-one correspondence between J2n and MoI. ► We find that Jupiter's MoI should lie in the range 0.2629-0.2645. ► Jupiter's MoI derived by Ward and Canup 06 is inconsistent with physically plausible interior models.
