Spectral reflectance properties of carbonaceous chondrites: 6. CV chondrites

► We examine spectral reflectance properties of CV carbonaceous chondrites. ► We analyze the spectra in terms of mineralogy, metamorphic grade, subtype, and grain size. ► CV spectra are dominated by absorption features near 1 and 2 μm due to olivine and spinel. ► Spectral variations as a function of metamorphic grade and subtype are not evident.
