Hypnose au cœur du soin palliatif : réflexions autour d'une posture éthique incarnée

Taking care of people is a central value in palliative care as in hypnosis. Far from being as palliative care is expecting to be, which would be in a normative setting, and far from the use of hypnosis as a tool in an ideal way of dying; the communicational approach through hypnosis includes the patient-therapist couple, from the first meeting, lived as an event, in the therapeutic process. Building this relationship, in body and mind, with the therapist cooperation in a safe feeling, makes the patient connect with his own resources in this responsiveness dimension created by hypnosis. But most importantly, the therapist by his own way of embodying “non-knowing” and “non-willing”, increases the ethical potential represented by the relational approach of hypnosis in palliative care.
