Du visage de l'autre à « l'hybride de soi »

Partial graft of the face achieved in 2005 on Isabelle Dinoire raised several ethical issues in the general public. Most remain unresolved. This event appeared as a limit case of the contemporary ethically acceptable. Many difficulties remain. Based on a study of a single case, we examined the ethical positions taken with this issue in order to show how the limits of classical ethical conception operate. We also attempt to detail new ways of resolving an ethical crisis based on recent work concerning body perception and hybridity.
