Qu'appelle-t-on « déontologie » ?

Status of deontology is unclear: deontology seems to be either a kind of professional ethics either a kind of internal moral which can help professionals. Is deontology a legal expression of rules organizing a profession? In that case, a profession looks for having a better visibility with regard to institutions or to other social activities? Or, instead, will deontology transpose implicit moral and social expectations within a profession? The contribution intends to open a way towards this last reading. Deontology would be an attempt to clarify implicit morals of a society - even though this effort coincides with the interests of a profession which wishes to base its status.
