Existe-t-il une éthique particulière à la psychiatrie ?

As the number of local ethics committees has been increasing since the Law of March 2002 (2002-303) and, mainly, since the latest Certification Manual (V2010), health care professionals wonder about such committees. We are often asked about our “Comité d'aide à la réflexion éthique” (C.A.R.E.) (Committee supporting consideration on ethics) created in 2008 in a general hospital. The C.A.R.E.'s president being a psychiatrist, teams from psychiatric hospitals are among the first to ask questions. That is why we wish to share considerations and experiment about psychiatric and medical ethics.
